Chinese ink painting is also a part of my interest in the exhibition. It is a form of painting, more often, ink painting is regarded as Chinese traditional painting, that is, representatives of traditional Chinese painting. Basic painting, only water and ink, black and white, but the advanced ink painting also has exquisite flower and bird painting, which is colourful. The second one some times also called color ink painting. Chinese ink painting is characterized by close realism, distant abstract, monotonous colors and rich artistic conception. Traditional painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in black ink or coloured pigments. The most popular materials on which paintings are made are paper and silk. In the process of painting, you need to add different degrees of water to mediate the ink's shade, thus displaying the sense of layering in the painting. The collision and fusion of water and ink make me very interesting.

Suddenly my mind flashed picture: the ink/pigment drop in the water.

4K Ink Drop in Water

The ethereal and random form is fascinating. Like smoke, but reflected in the water. A drop of ink or pigment drops into the water and spreads slowly, creating a different sense of layering and texture, there's a sense of psychedelic.

For my study in degree, I'd rather keep my personal design style. All along, my designs have been using more curves to represent a dynamic, random, and regular pattern. So in the end, I still want to choose a design concept that can be show my own style. From the part of Chinese ink painting, I want to go on and show a flowing design concept.
